OUR STORY
About Mr Simms Chipping Norton
Mr Simms Old Fashioned Sweet Shoppe, in the High Street, Chipping Norton, was inspired by our own Mr Simms, my father. He loved sweets and in his latter years enjoyed the pick and mix at his residential home, whilst reminiscing to music and black and white photos from his past.
Having worked in retail for many years, specialising in customer service and operations with a wide range of leading brands, I felt it was time I launched my own small sweet store.
I first wanted to set up shop in Chipping Norton over 15 years ago. However with the passing of my parents and my daughter having flown the nest, now is the right time to honour my dear dad’s memory and set up shop in the town I have lived in for many years.
This town, with its unique Chippy charm, has given me invaluable friendship and support over the years.
Hence Mr Simms Olde Fashioned Sweet Shoppe, now a reality in the “Chippy Community”.
The shop offers you old fashioned sweets, chocolate gifts and hampers, and exciting ideas in confectionery innovation and chocolate design.
You are very welcome to come in and visit us, have a chat and spend time just looking at our lovely shop. We are very proud of it and I know my father would be too.
